Job Description
**PURPOSE AND SCOPE:**
Amentum is currently seeking a Hazardous Waste (HW) Technician for the Hazardous Materials Minimization Center (HMMC) Okinawa. Under a Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) contract, HMMC provides hazardous material and hazardous waste support services to the US Navy, and tenant customers located on Okinawa.
A Hazardous Waste (HW) Technician collects, receives, handles, transports, processes, packages and prepares hazardous material and hazardous waste for storage and shipment. Work is performed in a warehouse setting and involves in handling hazardous materials and waste that may be flammable, caustic, toxic and/or explosive.
Shift work, weekends, mandatory overtime (with proper notice given) and cross-training may be required in order to meet daily/weekly workload requirements. **The hourly pay for this position will be $16.80 per hour with an additional 15% Cost of Living Allowance (CO...
