Job Description
**Amentum is currently seeking a Hazardous Waste Technician for the Hazardous Materials Minimization Center (HMMC) Okinawa. HMMC provides hazardous materials and hazardous waste support services to the USMC and tenant customers located in Okinawa. The hourly pay for this position will be $16.75 per hour with an additional 15% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA). COLA is paid on a bi-weekly basis.**
**PURPOSE AND SCOPE:**
A Hazardous Waste Technician collects, receives, handles, transports, processes, packages and prepares hazardous material and hazardous waste for storage and shipment. Work is performed in a warehouse setting and involves handling hazardous materials and waste that may be flammable, caustic, toxic and/or explosive. Shift work, weekends, mandatory overtime (with proper notice given) and cross-training may be required to meet daily/weekly workload requirements. Relocation costs will not be reimbursed or provided.
