Head of Internal Shariah Audit

Job Purpose:
Internal Shari'ah Audit (ISA): Provide leadership and participate in development and implementation of strategic priorities, in his/her independent capacity, for areas exclusively assigned of the growing audit universe across Mashreq Bank Pakistan with a focus on State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Regulations, Central Bank UAE (Higher Shariah Authority/AAOIFI) Regulations on Islamic Banking as well as Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) standards and best practices.
• As a specialist in Internal Shari'ah Audit, ensure Shari'ah Audit coverage for Mashreq Bank Pakistan. ISA is responsible for undertaking Shari'ah audits and monitoring compliance with Islamic Shari'ah.
• Shall present periodic reports//presentations to Board Audit Committee (BAC), Shariah Board (SB), Mashreq Bank Pakistan and Internal Shari'ah Supervision Committee (ISSC) Mashreq HO UAE on Shariah issues raised during planned audits and status updates on the resolutions.
