Zurich North America is seeking a Head of Reserving for the Liability Line of Business. This role reports to the Chief Reserving Actuary. Our preferred location is our Schaumburg, IL or New York, NY office, other locations may be considered for the right candidate.

The Head of Reserving - Liability leads a team of actuaries responsible for reserve setting and testing, loss ratio forecasting, and financial planning for the Liability portfolio. This role has primary ownership of the reserving process and IFRS booking recommendations for Liability and plays a critical leadership role in technical governance, planning, and forecasting across the Liability line of business.

The position leads the Liability reserving view for the Expected Loss Ratio (ELR) recommendations and drives the reserving content for Virtuous Circle discussions with pricing, claims and underwriting. The role partners closely with Business Unit (...
