Head of Self-Clearing Brokerage, COO

This executive role will lead the end-to-end operation of a Canadian self‑clearing brokerage. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will oversee daily operations across clearing, settlement, margin, client financing, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for someone who has operated a full-service carrying broker or clearing firm in Canada, and who thrives in a regulated, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee full daily operations of a CIRO-regulated brokerage
• Lead transition from Type 3 dealer to full self-clearing model
• Manage clearing, settlement, reconciliation (equities, options, FX)
• Oversee margin lending, financing, and liquidation processes
• Ensure CDS participant readiness and compliance
