About the Role
The Head of Technical Underwriting leads the operational teams which support profitable growth, manage the operational risk appetite, and ensure regulatory compliance. Key duties include enhancing underwriting performance, developing underwriter capability, providing best in class service support and demonstrating all activities completed in line with governance requirements.
Job Responsibilities
Drive capability development and create a high-performance culture of technical proficiency and customer focus across business units

Support Delivery of Financial targets, with underwriting activity undertaken in a way that supports profitability and growth objectives

Be the senior referral point on risk acceptance across all lines. Be visible and available to support colleagues on technical queries.
