Job Description
Head Pastry Chef is responsible for leading the pastry department, overseeing the preparation, production, and presentation of all pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods. This role combines culinary creativity with strong leadership, quality control, and operational management to ensure consistency, innovation, and high standards of food safety and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
Culinary & Production
- Design, develop, and execute dessert and pastry menus aligned with the establishment's concept and brand standards
- Oversee daily production of pastries, desserts, chocolates, breads, and specialty items
- Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all pastry products
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, train, and supervise pastry chefs, bakers, and commis staff
- Schedule staff shifts and manage workload efficiently
