What the role is
Science, Technology and Engineering (STE) are increasingly critical enablers of how the Public Service delivers outcomes, drives innovation, and responds to complex national challenges. Building a strong, future-ready STE workforce is therefore a strategic priority for Singapore.
This role sits within the People & Capability Development Directorate at the Public Sector Science & Technology Policy & Planning Office (S&TPPO), under the Prime Minister's Office. The Directorate leads Whole-of-Government efforts to strengthen STE capability, leadership pipelines, and the career value proposition for STE professionals across the Public Service.
The Head, Policy & Strategy plays a system-shaping role in developing and implementing data-driven workforce policies and strategies for the STE community.
