The role
You will support our Nurses and wider clinical team to deliver safe, high‑quality care to patients on our hospital wards. You will assist with patient comfort, transport, equipment, and general ward support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting patient care under the direction of a Registered Nurse
Transporting patients to X‑ray, ECG and other departments
Restocking and rotating consumables, reporting low stock
Cleaning and maintaining equipment and sluice areas
Assisting patients with showers, call bells, newspapers and general comfort
Supporting patients and their families/whānau with kindness and professionalism
This is a full-time position for 64 hours per fortnight and is located at Bowen Hospital in Wellington, Crofton Downs.
