An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health care support worker to join our Team. The successful candidate will be based at QMH. CIU is a day unit that operates 8am-4pm Monday-Friday. Many specialities use our department for a variety of treatments.
Responsibilities
The successful applicant will be working mainly within the Venesection service, treating patients with Haemochromatosis – training will be given. This will involve direct patient care as well as associated admin within the service.
Qualifications
Applicants should ideally have some experience working within an acute setting and possess excellent communication skills. The ability to be skilled in venepuncture and cannulation is essential. They should also have a genuine desire to work in this specialty.
