Job Summary

Canadian Hearing Services (CHS) has an opening for a Hearing Care Counsellor‑Ethno based in Toronto. Reporting to the Supervisor, Hearing Care Counselling, the Hearing Care Counsellor‑Ethno will provide individual counselling, support, and case management for eligible Hearing Care Counselling (HCC) clients (age 55 and up, hard of hearing or deaf) within targeted ethno‑specific groups.

• Position: Permanent, full‑time, Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Salary: $71,088.61

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counselling, support, and case management to eligible elderly clients in languages other than English.
• Evaluate hearing loss utilizing audiometers and scope devices, and instruct clients on use, care and maintenance of hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
