Heavy Equipment Electrician

Job Description:

• Identifying problems with vehicle electrical systems using diagnostic tools and testing equipment.
• Repairing or replacing damaged wiring harnesses and wiring in various parts of the vehicle. Locating and resolving electrical problems, such as those related to lighting, ignition, aircon and other electrical components.
• Testing and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators, starter motors, and other electrical components.
• Rebuilding electrical units like starters, generators, and door controls.
• Installation and Maintenance: Adjusting engine control systems and timing to ensure proper vehicle operation.
• Performing basic maintenance tasks such as checking fluid levels and rotating tires.
• Providing parts needed and estimate lead time for repairs.
• Provide report for daily progress.
