Heavy Equipment Mechanic

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct regular preventive maintenance on heavy equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform troubleshooting inspection, and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems (e.g. engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems).
• Conduct overhauling and and major repairs when necessary.
• Maintain service records and report maintenance activities and issues encountered.
• Ensure all equipment complies with company safety standards and manufacturer's specifications.
• Assist in mobilizing heavy equipment from project sites as needed.
• Coordinate with the head mechanic or supervisor regarding required spare parts and maintenance schedules.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
