HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT REPAIR INSPECTOR

Summary You will serve as a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT REPAIR INSPECTOR in the INSPECTION, TEST, QA AND TRAINING DIVISION, LIFTING AND HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will provide mechanical inspection and test services on various naval weight handling equipment such as cranes and other equipment to assure equipment integrity and compliance to specification requirements. You will perform periodic maintenance inspections and emergent deficiency inspections of weight handling equipment hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, structural, and electrical/mechanical systems and other equipment as assigned. You will inspect and troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, structural, and electrical/mechanical components during removal, repair, alteration, overhaul, installation and alignment.
