Position

HISTORICAL INTERPRETER (student - multiple positions available)

Hours of Work

Variable up to 36.25 hours per week

Location

Upper Canada Village (11 km east of Morrisburg)

Salary

$18.45 per hour

Period of Employment

May to September 2026

Responsibilities

  • Represent one of Morrisburg’s premium and internationally recognized tourism sites.
  • Interpret the history of 1860s Ontario through performing and explaining a selection of activities (domestic life, historical trades, farming, general store, mills, school, religion, period music, etc.).
  • Work safely at all times and report unsafe activities immediately to your supervisor.
  • Embody SLPC’s equity, diversity and inclusion principles while interacting with staff and guests.
