Background:


Under the Team Lead's responsibility and in accordance with the Centre’s philosophy and principles for service, the H.O.M.E Heart Helper will assume responsibility for providing comprehensive support and holistic services aimed at empowering youth and facilitating their healing journey. The H.O.M.E Heart Helper is passionate, committed, and engaged in improving the lives of young Indigenous women and families.


Qualifications:

  • Child & Youth Care Diploma or acceptable equivalent and related experience.

  • Understanding of Indigenous values and community issues.

  • Group care and/or healing lodge experience would be an asset.

  • Care and healing plan development and implementation with the young woman.

  • Experience providing support/supervision for youth.
