Job Description
Title: Homecare Nurse
Conduct thorough initial and ongoing patient health assessments to inform care strategies.
Keep emergency equipment readily available at the bedside, including spare tracheostomy tubes, obturators, suction machines, oxygen sources, and ambu bags.
Monitor for signs of infection, skin breakdown, or granulation tissue at the stoma site and assess for tube obstruction or displacement.
Administer prescribed medications via oral, injectable, or PEG-tube routes and monitor for adverse effects and interactions.
Perform wound care, dressing changes, and pressure sore management as needed.
