Job Description

The Department of Pediatrics at CHEO and the University of Ottawa is recruiting 3 General Pediatricians to join the Division of Pediatric Medicine. The ideal candidate will be Royal College certified or equivalent in Pediatrics with a demonstrated interest in research and education, and will be eligible for a faculty appointment in the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ottawa at an academic rank commensurate with experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

Admit Team Role

• Assessment, admission and care of patients from CHEO Emergency Department.
• Provide pediatric medicine consultations for patients in the Emergency Department, and admission when indicated.
• Assume responsibility and provide care for admitted pediatric medicine patients until transferred to an inpatient unit.
