Housekeeping Aid Supervisor

Summary The position is located at the VA Long Beach Medical Center in the Environmental Management Service. The primary purpose of this position is to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in supporting and performing tasks associated with the EMS goals and objectives. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Incumbent is delegated responsibility for assigning staff for routine and non-routine duties on a daily and a project-by-project basis. Supervises 10-20 Housekeeping Aids and 1-2 WL Leaders. Non-routine duties require that the incumbent be able to reorganize work schedules efficiently in order that work is accomplished in a timely manner. Incumbent is required to coordinate work with supervisors of other services within the incumbent's area of jurisdiction so as not to interrupt patient care or other activities.
