Housing Assistant

The Opportunity:

Avalon are looking for a proactive and empathetic interim Housing Assistant to join our client in Leicester, focusing on rent collection, income management, and the support of residents within our supported housing schemes.

This three month role is vital in helping residents maintain their independence while ensuring the financial sustainability of our social housing stock. You will be the first point of contact for many vulnerable residents, offering practical advice on budgeting and housing benefits to help them sustain their tenancies.

Key duties of the Housing Assistant:

* Support the Income Team in managing rent accounts, processing payments, and monitoring arrears.

* Assist residents with housing benefit applications, Universal Credit claims, and wider welfare support to maximize their income.
