Housing Manager

Job Description

The Leased Housing Department (LHD) is seeking a Manager for its Certification Unit. The Unit is responsible for processing owner correspondence, certifying repairs, rent abatements, payment adjustments, and terminating for non-compliance with HUD’s inspection standards.

Reporting directly to the Director, the Manager will have some latitude for independent initiative and decision making. The Manager will supervise day-to-day operations by overseeing office staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Supervise the certification unit staff, consisting of 2 Assistant Managers, 7 Housing Assistants and 1 Consultant.
2. Monitor assignments, workload, and performance.
3. Review and evaluate Certification of Completed Repairs and other inspection-related documents.
4. Generate and analyze progress reports.
