HVACR Technician II

Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Operations, under the direction of the leadhand, the incumbent performs a wide variety of tasks related to the installation, repair and maintenance of all University heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Also performs installation, maintenance and repair of University buildings, other types of equipment and systems. This position is based on the Brantford campus.

Accountabilities

• Respects and responds to direction given by leadhand(s)
• Contributes and participates in the effective use of the Quality Control System
• Performs regular maintenance checks on operational equipment/mechanical rooms
• Performs installation, maintenance and repairs on University buildings, equipment and systems where certification is not required and it is within the training and limitations of the incumbent
