Imaging Technologist

Job Summary

Utilizes imaging equipment (x-ray, MRI) to conduct radiological diagnostic procedures as needed for evaluating patient conditions. Creates and maintains records and files as directed. Performs a variety of tasks associated with the application and removal of orthopedic casts and splints as directed by a physician.



Duties and Responsibilities


+ Operate computer and radiographic equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body, under the supervision of Radiologist. Performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images on X-Ray and MRI.

+ Prepares patient for radiographic procedures by accurately assessing patients needs and providing patient education.

+ Records appropriate chart notations in Patient Information System and/or patient file. Prepares and maintains records and files as directed, stores and maintains films according to department policy and procedures. ...
