Import & Export Specialist

JOB SCOPE

Bridges Purchasing and Materials, with primary responsibility for the cost‑effective movement of materials and samples into and out of the company. The role selects and manages carriers, controls freight spend and administers import/export compliance – including Country of Origin (COO), Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, and U.S. customs matters – while supporting continuous improvement of internal and external material flows. Emphasis is placed equally on cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and reliable on‑time delivery to provide the best value to the company. Works closely with the purchasing team.

Major Responsibilities

• Selects carriers offering the best pricing for shipping or receiving samples to and from corporate, suppliers, or customers with the purchasing team.
• Evaluates and selects carriers during supplier replenishment and supplier‑change processes.
