Importation Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage and monitor all importation-related financial transactions, including LC payments, customs, duties, taxes, freight, insurance, and clearing charges.
2. Prepare, verify, and maintain complete import documentation (invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, customs, declarations) to ensure compliance with customs and financial regulations.
3. Coordinates with custom brokers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to ensure timely clearance and accurate financial settlements of imports.
4. Calculate and allocate landed costs accurately to inventory and fixed assets in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
5. Record import-related transactions in the accounting system and reconcile import accounts, advances, and vendor statements.
6. Monitor import expenses against budgets and report variances to the Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
