Importation Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



- Manage and monitor all importation-related financial transactions, including LC payments, customs, duties, taxes, freight, insurance, and clearing charges.

- Prepare, verify, and maintain complete import documentation (invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, customs, declarations) to ensure compliance with customs and financial regulations.

- Coordinates with custom brokers, freight forwarders, and suppliers to ensure timely clearance and accurate financial settlements of imports.

- Calculate and allocate landed costs accurately to inventory and fixed assets in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

- Record import-related transactions in the accounting system and reconcile import accounts, advances, and vendor statements.

- Monitor import expenses against budgets and report variances to the Head of Governance, Risk, and Compliance.
