IMS Core Engineer

Tangent International are urgently looking for a IMS Core Engineer (preferably ZTE product) to work a 6 month rolling contract based in Kenya (Nairobi)

Job Description

Domain:

• IMS Core Hands-on experience (preferably ZTE product) for more than 5 years in production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain IMS network elements including CSCF, SBC, MGCF, TAS, ENUM, MSS, MGW, HLR, HSS, EIR, STP, SPS, DRA.
• Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance to ensure high availability and network stability.
• Analyze alarms, logs, KPIs, and performance counters to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
• Handle L2 level network faults and incidents, troubleshoot major and minor alarms, and restore services within defined SLAs.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring, critical, or high-impact network issues and implement corrective actions.
