In-House Legal Advisor- Recoveries

Introduction

Our client, a reputable and established insurance company, is seeking an experienced In-House Legal Advisor to join their Recoveries and Liabilities Department. This role is suited to a legally qualified professional with strong insurance recoveries and liability exposure, without the requirement of completed articles or admission as an attorney.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal support on recoveries, subrogation and liability matters
• Assess liability exposure and recovery prospects on insurance claims
• Draft and review legal correspondence, settlement agreements and recovery documentation
• Negotiate recoveries and settlements with third parties and insurers
• Liaise with and manage external attorneys, including monitoring litigation and legal costs
