Job Summary

CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) is a provincial agency that provides clinical and academic services for cancer care and blood disorders. The Indigenous Nurse Navigator role enhances patient outcomes by facilitating culturally grounded, safe, trauma‑ and violence‑informed care for First Nations, Inuit, and Métis patients throughout the cancer continuum.

Responsibilities

The Indigenous Nurse Navigator supports patients from suspicion to end of life, creating care plans that address personal, social, emotional, spiritual and practical needs. The role facilitates access to services such as surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology, hematology and supportive care. It collaborates with internal CCMB teams, external partners, Indigenous communities and social service agencies to help patients navigate complex health systems.
