Indigenous Relations Consultant (temporary contract role)

Reporting to the Vice President, HR and Administration, this part‑time, one year contract position will be responsible for developing and implementing an Indigenous Relations strategy and plan that is aligned with the company’s strategic plan and corporate objectives. This role is responsible to:

• Help establish networks and relationships with other Indigenous communities across Alberta to broaden our reach and appeal to Indigenous job seekers who are looking for a stable and challenging career in insurance;
• Engage with leaders at Indigenous communities within Alberta, with an emphasis at the community of our sole shareholder, Samson Cree Nation, to strengthen communication, brand awareness and company recognition through targeted and visible event sponsorship and attendance/involvement at community events;
