Infection Control Practitioner Needed in Scarborough

Scarborough Health Network seeks an Infection Control Practitioner for a 13-month temporary full-time role. Play a crucial part in safeguarding patient and staff health through effective infection control.
In this role, you will collaborate with the Infection Prevention and Control team, directly reporting to the Manager. Your responsibilities will include surveillance, managing outbreaks, and educating healthcare staff. You'll help implement infection control standards that nurture a safe environment throughout our hospitals and satellite locations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee surveillance and outbreak management processes
• Educate staff and volunteers on infection prevention
• Collaborate with external and academic institutions
• Provide guidance on infection control related to construction
• Keep abreast of current standards and literature
Requirements:
• Degree in health care or related field
• At least two years of infection control experience
