We are needing to recruit to an Infectious Diseases and General Physician fixed term role whilst we await the arrival of an international recruit. This role works within the Department of Medicine based at Tauranga Hospital, providing acute internal medicine inpatient and sub-specialist Infectious Disease outpatient services. Tauranga Hospital is a 359-bed hospital which provides acute general medical service with support from resident specialists in Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Geriatric medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Haematology and Renal services. This role participates in planned care delivery in Infectious Diseases at both Tauranga Hospital and Whakatane Hospital, which is a smaller level 2 hospital south of Tauranga.
