Infrastructure / Platform Engineer ( VMware & Storage )

Location: Cheshire (Hybrid/Office-based)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (Dependent on experience) + Benefits

The Role: We are seeking a hands‑on Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of our virtualised environment and data storage foundations. You will be the technical lead for ensuring our core systems are resilient, performant, and securely backed up.

Key Responsibilities

• Virtualization: Full lifecycle management of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter), including host clustering, resource optimisation, and patching.
• Storage: Administering and scaling enterprise storage solutions (e.g., SAN/NAS, Dell PowerStore, Pure, or NetApp).
• Data Protection: Managing enterprise backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, or Zerto) to ensure RPOs and RTOs are met.
• Projects: Leading infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and hardware refreshes.
