Infusion Pharmacy Technician

**Overview**

**Scope of Responsibilities:** Works under general supervision. Follows standard procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and provide the highest quality health care service to our patients. May assist in orienting and training employees.

**Job Summary:** Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the technician helps to prepare medications with sterile compounding, maintains the compounding area and equipment, and monitors inventory. Also facilitating the shipment or delivery of medications to patients and providers.

**Responsibilities**

**Job Duties:**

+ Assists the pharmacist in maintaining federal, state and local laws, accrediting body standards, and Policies and Procedures (P&Ps).
+ Performs IV admixtures sterility testing in accordance with policy, maintains appropriate documentation.
+ Assists the pharmacists in the preparation and labeling of medications as allowed by law.
