Instructor in Social Justice and Change

Lead discussions on social justice and movements at the Faculty of Social Work, Wilfrid Laurier University. This Winter 2027 course targets issues affecting marginalized groups in society.
The BSW Program invites applications for an instructor role for the SK421 BR course. Ideal candidates will possess a Master’s degree in Social Work or be in progress towards a PhD. The course will involve examining crucial issues surrounding social movements and strategies utilized by vulnerable populations, thus stimulating powerful academic dialogues.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures on social movements' theories
• Promote student engagement on social justice topics
• Assess and support student learning outcomes
• Curate relevant educational content
• Manage a classroom of 30-35 engaged learners
Requirements:
