Job Description
**Summary:**
Seasonal Contract position supporting the National Science Foundation managed United States Antarctic Program as part of the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC). The Insulator will perform maintenance or construction tasking, or any combination thereof, under the supervision of the Assistant Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Tasking is based on ASC schedule requirements.
**Position Responsibilities (not all inclusive):**
+ Perform hands-on insulation tasks on maintenance and construction projects utilizing a variety of materials and tools
+ Install insulation on piping, walls, and other surfaces
+ Maintain and repair existing insulation
+ Remove and reinstall insulation as needed to facilitate repairs to piping and heat trace
+ Install temporary insulation on piping as needed until permanent insulation can be installed
+ Perform minor sheet metal work as required
