Insurance and Claims Officer

Job Description Job Objective
Key contact for H&M, P&I matters. Executes all claims in a timely and effective manner. Ensure that all claims are best handled, resolved and promptly reimbursed. Executes on all day-to-day administration and management activities with regard to insurance and claims matters in a timely and effective manner.

Key Accountabilities
1. Liaising with P&I Clubs, Brokers and Insurers. Submission of H&M claims, following up of reimbursement from Insurance Pal Tool for quick recovery of all costs.
2.Ensure that all claims are properly recorded in Insurance Pal Tool and claims database is always updated. All claims to be well supported with respective reports, remarks and reserves / claim estimates. Ensure that claims estimated are in line with the Insurance reserves. Any discrepancies to be discussed with good arguments. Review claims once a month.
