POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, Insurance Programs, the Insurance Program Specialist manages a suite of insurance programs, including self-insurance, fleet insurance, property insurance, course of construction and wrap-up liability insurance, commercial premises, and operating insurance. He/She/they are responsible for investigating, negotiating, and settling claims, assessing insurance risk exposure and coverage sufficiency, negotiating third-party coverage, drafting appropriate policy and coverage wording, negotiating insurance inclusions, and reviewing and approving contractual clauses and covenants related to insurance. The position is responsible for evaluating insurance requirements and programs, assessing enterprise-level liability exposure, loss trends and insurance program sufficiency, and understanding and complying with complex legal, regulatory and policy requirements.
