Intellectual Property Lawyer

The Patent Lawyer of USHER Technologies Inc. will be responsible for managing the company’s intellectual property (IP) portfolio, ensuring the protection of its groundbreaking innovations in earthquake and structural health monitoring technologies. The role involves drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications (local and international), conducting prior art and freedom-to-operate searches, and providing legal guidance on patentability, licensing, and IP commercialization. The Patent Lawyer will collaborate closely with R&D, engineering, and business teams to identify patentable inventions, draft technology disclosures, and ensure compliance with IPOPHIL, WIPO, and PCT requirements. The ideal candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree and a strong background in patent law, preferably with technical expertise in engineering, electronics, or applied sciences.
