Intellectual Property Manager

The Company Our client is a
chemicals MNC , now establishing a
new R&D lab in Singapore . The lab will focus primarily on
coatings and additives , supporting innovation across Southeast Asia and China. This newly created role sits at the centre of regional IP creation, collaboration management, and patent strategy.
Responsibilities Partner with scientists to capture inventions, assess disclosures, and guide innovations through the patent process. Manage IP activities for chemical compounds, formulations, and applications developed in the new Singapore lab. Support patent drafting, procurement, and portfolio development (legal degree not required). Conduct IP analytics, including patentability, freedom‑to‑operate, and competitive landscape reviews. Maintain and update the regional IP pipeline across SEA and China, ensuring alignment with business and global IP teams.
