Responsibilities

• Obtain patients' meal selections and food preferences on a daily basis
• Enter patients' menu selections into the computer system.
• Process and enter patients' food preferences
• Process diet changes, print late trays as requested
• Answer phone, handle and direct food related queries to appropriate staff.
• Additional tasks as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Student or graduate of Food & Nutrition program is preferred
• 1 year Nutrition/diet related experience is preferred
• Valuable telephone manner with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written
• Positive interpersonal skills, demonstrated Patient Focused Care Philosophy
• Knowledge of therapeutic nutrition is an asset
• CBORD knowledge is preferred
• Food Handler Certification is an asset
