What The Role Is
Project Title: Simulating a Crypto Wallet Scam: Scenario Analysis and Prevention Strategies
Project Aim/Scope: The intern will eventually demonstrate the lifecycle of a crypto wallet scam, highlight key vulnerabilities at each stage, and provide actionable recommendations for mitigating such threats among users and organizations and required to code and develop the demonstrator based on the requirements.
What You Will Be Working On
The intern will support CSEC by:
Crafting a detailed, end-to-end scenario of a cryptocurrency wallet scam, capturing the tactics used by scammers (such as phishing, fake wallet apps, and impersonation) to trick users into surrendering their credentials or transferring digital assets.
The demonstration will walk through attacker methods: initial victim contact, social engineering or phishing attempts, compromise of wallet credentials, and unauthorized fund transfer. It will show how real victims are enticed or pressured, the...
