Internal Medicine (Williams Lake)

Overview

Cariboo Memorial Hospital is currently expanding its Internal Medicine team and enhancing services to better meet the needs of the community. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collegial and well-supported environment, alongside a dedicated surgical team, a busy emergency department with approximately 25,000 visits annually, and a strong network of full-service family physicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatient care, provide consults in the emergency department, and oversee the 4‑bed High Acuity Unit (HAU).
• Clinic hours typically run from 9:00AM to 4:00PM.
• On‑call duties are shared on a 1:4 rotation, covering the HAU and the ER with after‑hours responsibilities during full call shifts.
• Provide support for rapid‑access clinics as needed.
• Engage in teaching opportunities for those interested in medical education.
