Team/division description

Power Electronics Design team is part of the R&D 2 Powertrain Design Division. We develop vehicle charging system components such as the on-board charger, 12V DCDC converter, external charge cable,... as well as the main drive motor inverter and other powertrain-related power electronic commodities.

Your project

The increasing share of renewables in the energy mix creates challenges for the European electrical grid in terms of supply & demand balancing. Electric vehicles -with their battery storage capacity- can be a valuable resource to help stabilising our grids. To fully leverage this potential, bi-directional power exchange with the grid (V2G) can be a game changer.
