Internship - AI/ML-Based Finite Element Analysis

The student will be part of the package simulation team. The simulation team uses physics-based simulation software such as Ansys WB and LS-DYNA. Existing sets of simulation results from prior work can be leveraged to assess new design geometry with AI/ML‑based finite element software, providing significant compute savings. The student's role is to evaluate and compare several AI/ML‑based finite element tools and provide a comprehensive evaluation report.

• Conduct finite element analysis using Ansys / LS-DYNA.
• Analyze and consolidate finite element results for AI/ML model training.
• Develop scripts to extract essential information from finite element files and output data readable by the AI/ML model.
• Evaluate and compare different AI/ML‑based finite element models.
