Internship for Basin Strategy

We would like to request internship placements for students from Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) and qualified Sabahan candidates under the Sabah Basin Strategy Management (BSM), Resource Exploration (REX), Malaysia Petroleum Management (MPM), PETRONAS.

The candidates must be in undergraduate of Geology under Universiti of Malaysia (UMS). 

This request aligns with the broader BSM strategy to develop local Sabahan talent, particularly from UMS, as part of our long-term Resource Exploration programme. REX is presently undertaking strategic exploration initiatives across Sabah Frontier Basins, namely the Layang–Layang Basin, Tawau Basin, and Sandakan Basin, under a structured five-year programme.

In addition to the exploration work, REX is currently developing the Sabah Exploration History Book, documenting exploration activities from the 1800s to present day. This effort involves extensive research and data gathering, including references from the Jabatan Mineral ...
