At Weir Minerals, we’re searching for a motivated student to join our Tailings crew and help shape the future of tailings transport. In this internship, you’ll dive into the technical and economic modelling of how mining tailings can be moved most efficiently, whether through pipeline slurry systems or via trucking and conveyors as cake. Your research will directly support major mining project decisions and contribute to making operations more sustainable, efficient, and future‑ready. As a result you will develop a clear technical and economic model to compare these options and support real project decisions.
