Irrigation Technician

IRRIGATION TECHNICIAN ONE POSITION FOR THE SOOKE SCHOOL DISTRICT. FORTY HOURS PER WEEK. QUALIFICATIONS AS PER THE JOB DESCRIPTION. RATE OF PAY AS PER THE COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT, $31.63 PER HOUR. DUTIES TO COMMENCE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE Completion of grade 12 and completion of an irrigation system program which specializes in the service and installation of irrigation systems and equipment Possesses a valid irrigation level 2 certificate (IIABC) Ability to obtain cross connection backflow assembly tester certificate (BC preferably) At least 4 years of experience dealing with irrigation components and systems Demonstratable knowledge of soil moisture requirement for sports fields, shrub beds and other landscape areas Able to read digital site plans, interpret blueprint drawings and specification related to irrigation and drainage with the understanding of irrigation system design and routine and emergent repairs on all components related to irrigation Strong underst...
