JOB DETAILS

The Gender Specialist will address gender equality, mitigate violence against
women and girls, promote and support self-help groups (SHGs), facilitate income-generating

business models, provide training and counseling, and ensure proper documentation and

reporting. Ideal candidates have a background in gender studies, social work, or community

development.

Roles and Responsibilities:

To study and understand the local context keeping in mind gender equality.

Develop a realistic plant to address the issue of gender equality and other possible

discrimination in each of the village’s context we work in.

To mitigate Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) in our targeted villages.

To actively involve in the formation / scale up of registered self-help groups among

women in our villages promoting thrift /savings and local landing within the village.
