Job Description

Summary About the Position: Serves as a Joint Operations Planner and subject matter expert on civilian casualty (CIVCAS) mitigation and reporting. Ensures that civilian casualty mitigation, response, and risk assessments are seamlessly integrated into all phases of joint operational planning, targeting, and force employment across the USAFRICOM's Area of Responsibility (AOR). Responsibilities Oversee the daily administrative operations of the AFRICOM CIVCAS program, including progress reporting, weekly scheduling, and cross-functional coordination via official task management systems. Utilize the Joint Planning Process (JPP) to develop, monitor, and execute strategic and operational plans or exercises, ensuring they align with the Command’s Strategy and Theater Campaign Plan.
